Dmitry Darling and his FREAKANGEL gang just returned to port, looping the loop where it all began in 2010… For the occasion, their original label-home Alfa Matrix is re-releasing the band’s complete back-catalogue on their official Bandcamp page before new surprises pop up in 2021…

“How The Ghost Became” was originally released on 3rd February 2017, and later completed by the remix album “What The Ghost Became” on 31st October 2019. Both are now assembled in this “deluxe edition”.

With this album, the Estonian artists set a new standard in industrial metal completing their sonic evolution from their dark elektro early days, through incisive aggrotech electro rock.

Dmitry’s singing, now freed from distortion, has neither sounded so powerful nor his vocal range so wide – and the new album has ever come this close to capturing the full ferocity of FREAKANGEL’s live performance.

With “How The Ghost Became”, FREAKANGEL have fashioned an album of rare beauty where raw and emotional rock sits smoothly alongside electronic elements to form an entirely organic-sounding whole – and one which adds up to so much more than the sum of its parts.

The “deluxe edition” features 12 additional remixes by artists in the likes of SIRUS, NITRO-NOISE, DEVIL-M, PANIC LIFT, SERAPHIM SYSTEM, NOIRE ANTIDOTE, AL ARD, VALHALL, RITUALZ, COMA, OCEAN BLACK, KILL THE SLEEPER.
